The Cometic Clutch Cover Gasket is constructed from AFM (Aluminum Foam Material), a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core. The aluminum core provides exceptional strength, ensuring a tight, reliable seal that prevents weeping or crawling, especially in modern engine cases with limited sealing surfaces. AFM material offers superior torque retention and an 85% recovery rate. Installation is simplified because no sealants are required, saving valuable service time as the AFM material will not stick to the engine case, making future replacements quick and easy by eliminating scraping. This gasket is engineered to withstand high temperatures up to 250°F (121°C), ensuring reliable performance under demanding conditions.
