The kidney-shaped passages further optimize oil delivery to and from the oil pump, effectively reducing oil and engine temperatures. With tighter cam journal bore tolerances, the camplate provides an improved cam fitment. An added cam journal oil groove offers enhanced lubrication during cold starts, while additional oil pressure feed holes at the front and back of the cam journal minimize thrusting wear.
