This steel outer ring is engineered with the minimum amount of material necessary to keep weight down, maintaining a competitive edge. The two rings are permanently bonded using an interference fit achieved through a 200°C expansion process and a unique wave pattern. Flat socket head screws further enhance the chainwheel's strength, particularly during side impacts, while also preventing contact with the chain guide.
