The shell is constructed from a thermo-injected material incorporating a special polymer blend with varying degrees of thickness to achieve an optimal balance of impact protection and lightweight performance. Alpinestars' patented low-friction coating on the inner EPS liner reduces rotational acceleration forces from oblique impacts, mimicking the brain's natural defense mechanism. The patented visor release system ensures the visor detaches with a pre-determined force, reducing potential neck injuries during crashes.
