Cometic clutch cover gaskets are made from AFM (Aluminum Foam Material), a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core. Installation is simplified, as no sealants are required, saving valuable service time. The AFM material resists sticking to the engine case, making future replacements quick and easy, eliminating the need for scraping. AFM's robust composition ensures high-temperature resistance (over 250°F or 121°C) and an impressive 85% recovery rate, all while maintaining strong torque retention.
