Description
The Cometic Stator Cover Gasket is constructed from AFM (Aluminum Foam Material), a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core. This design provides exceptional sealing properties without the need for additional sealants or silicone beads. The AFM material’s non-stick properties significantly reduce service time, eliminating the need for scraping during replacement. The aluminum core reinforces the gasket, preventing weeping or crawling, even in modern engine cases with limited sealing surfaces. With an 85% recovery rate and strong torque retention, this gasket maintains a consistent and reliable seal under high-temperature conditions, up to 250°F (121°C).
