The Darkhorse Motor Company Universal TIR Tool Kit offers a reliable method for assessing shaft runout, a critical factor in engine health. This tool accurately measures the total indicated runout of either the pinion shaft or sprocket shaft and uniquely determines the actual run-out the compensators operate with on '07 and later models. The kit includes an indicator that installs in a laser-marked hole, attaching to either the cam plate mount surface or inner primary via a thumbscrew. Simply rotate the tool arm to "touch off" on the corresponding shaft, providing a quick and accurate TIR measurement. Additionally, the tool incorporates five small cylindrical magnets for measuring fine-spline off-center cuts, ensuring comprehensive engine diagnostics.
