Description

This billet dipstick effectively vents crankcase pressure from the oil tank, thanks to its integrated PCV-style breather. The breather comprises an oil separator system with a perforated disc, replaceable filter element, and umbrella flapper valve. By reducing blowby – the pressure forced past the rings and cylinders into the crankcase – this dipstick helps maintain optimal engine performance. Feuling's testing demonstrates reduced engine oil sump levels, smoother engine revving, increased MPG, and decreased blowby. The dipstick helps eliminate unwanted pressure buildup in the oil tank. It offers two venting options: a 1/8 NPT breather vent fitting with an internal porous filter, or a quick disconnect coupler with a rubber hose and filter element. Installation is straightforward, screwing into the factory oil fill spout. Remember to use a glove when checking the hot oil level.

Important to know

This dipstick gets hot during operation. Always use a glove when checking the oil level. Feuling recommends maintaining the oil level between 90% and 99% full when hot. Oil level can be checked with the bike on the jiffy stand (FHS - Full Hot Stand) or upright and level (FHU - Full Hot Upright). Note that idling or warming up the bike on the kickstand can skew the oil level reading.
