Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is engineered to withstand the rigors of high-performance 2-cycle engines. Manufactured from certified 8620 AISI steel, the connecting rod offers exceptional strength and resilience. The crankpins are made from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel, case hardened to a level of 58-62Rc, ensuring robust performance and extended lifespan. Featuring the latest caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit is optimized for high RPM longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots, minimizing bearing race distortion at high RPM. Small ends are double drilled to supply extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, a critical feature when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend together the rod forging's radiuses. Double honing produces an ultra-round bearing surface, enhancing reliability at high RPM. This kit is compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, making it a versatile choice for your engine rebuild or upgrade. Made in the USA, ensuring top-tier quality and precision.
