The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high rpm, while double-drilled small ends supply extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing – crucial for pistons with crowns close to the wrist pin. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend the forging's radiuses. Double honing produces an ultra-round bearing surface, enhancing reliability at high rpm.
