Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is crafted from certified 8620 AISI steel, offering superior strength and resilience. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to 58-62Rc, providing exceptional wear resistance. Featuring the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit ensures high rpm longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high rpm, while double-drilled small ends supply extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing – crucial for pistons with crowns close to the wrist pin. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend the forging's radiuses. Double honing produces an ultra-round bearing surface, enhancing reliability at high rpm. This kit is compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, ensuring seamless integration into your engine build.
