Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is constructed from certified 8620 AISI steel, offering exceptional strength and durability. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case hardened to a level of 58-62Rc, providing a robust and wear-resistant surface. Featuring the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit ensures high rpm longevity and reduced friction. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high rpm. Small ends are double drilled to enhance lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, critical when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend together the rod forging's radiuses. Double honing creates an ultra-round bearing surface for superior reliability at high rpm. Compatible with Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit is proudly made in the USA.
