The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is meticulously crafted from certified 8620 AISI steel, providing superior strength compared to standard connecting rods. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case hardened to 58-62Rc, ensuring exceptional wear resistance. This kit features the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs, promoting high RPM longevity and minimizing bearing race distortion through strategically located side scalloping and vent slots on the uniquely designed big end. Small ends are double drilled for enhanced lubrication and cooling of the wrist pin bearing, crucial when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honed for an ultra-round bearing surface, this connecting rod kit offers unmatched reliability.
