Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is constructed from certified 8620 AISI steel, offering superior strength compared to standard connecting rods. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to 58-62Rc for exceptional wear resistance. Featuring the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs, this connecting rod kit provides high rpm longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high rpm. Small ends are double drilled to supply extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, especially crucial when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend together the rod forging's radiuses. Double honing produces an ultra-round bearing surface for enhanced reliability at high rpm. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this connecting rod kit is proudly made in the USA, ensuring top-quality craftsmanship and performance.
