Description
The Jims Powerglide™ Tappets are meticulously crafted from billet bearing steel, offering exceptional strength and resistance to wear. Designed to run in both cast iron and aluminum tappet blocks, these tappets provide versatility for a wide range of engine builds. The true center-line design enhances roller life and ensures exact cam timing, maximizing engine efficiency and power output. Featuring a state-of-the-art pushrod seat, machined with a segmented parabolic cup identical to JIMS® roller rockers, these tappets provide optimal pushrod alignment and reduced friction. Each hydraulic unit is hand-fitted to a running clearance of .0002" using an ultra-precision air gauging system, guaranteeing consistent and reliable hydraulic performance. Proper tappet-to-block clearance is crucial; we recommend fitting the tappets with a clearance of .0007" to .0012".
